Pastor Tim Walker

Tim Walker, Senior Pastor

Pastor Tim Walker grew up in McAlester, OK. He was saved and baptized at FBC McAlester. He met Kathy Talbot in high school and they were married in 1974. Tim graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and earned two degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. The Walkers have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Tim enjoys sports, golf, fly-fishing, hiking, and is a big fan of college and NFL football. He is always ready for a good book and good conversation.

Bobby Roe

Rev. Bobby Roe, Senior Adult Minister

Bobby Roe was born in Azle, Texas in 1934. Bobby was saved in 1947, and licensed to preach in 1951 by Turner Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He and his wife Glenda married in 1954 and have three children and four grandchildren. Bobby has degrees from Decatur Baptist College, Hardin-Simmons University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and International Bible Institute and Seminary in Orlando. Bobby pastored churches in Texas, Ohio, and Oklahoma from 1959 to 2004. Bobby joined the staff here at FBC Stillwater in 2005 as the Senior Adult Minister.
Brant Adams
Brant Adams, Music Minister
 
Brant is originally from Gallipolis, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Capital University, a Masters of Music in music theory from the University of Cincinnati, and a Ph.D in music theory from The University of Texas at Austin. Brant has been a member of the music faculty at Oklahoma State University since 1987.  He is a widely published composer, and is well-known as an arranger and orchestrator, especially in sacred music publications.  Brant has served on staff at First Baptist Church since 1989.  He and his wife Ginger were married in 1981 and have three lovely daughters pursuing careers in other states.

Education expectations

Our congregation is seeking a candidate with a minimum of a Masters Degree as our new Pastor.

Ministry experience and message

Here at the First Baptist of Stillwater we worship under the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years ministry experience. Experience can be from various works of ministry within another organization.

We would prefer someone that would be apolitical and is able to relate today’s current life issues to the scripture through engaging messages, with a strong desire to work within our community.

Personality traits desired

We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills as well as a deeply rooted faith in their ministry. The successful candidate should maintain a high standard of conduct with a testimony that reflects their love of Christ.
