Matt Johnson, Pastor

Matt is a native of Southern California and asks you don’t hold that against him. He has served churches in both Southern California and Nevada. He has also served the local Baptist Associations in both SoCal and Las Vegas in staff and volunteer capacities. Matt is married to one of the most profound examples of God’s grace in his life: Rebecca; they have two adorable children. Matt is a graduate of Gateway Seminary.

Brant is originally from Gallipolis, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Capital University, a Masters of Music in music theory from the University of Cincinnati, and a Ph.D in music theory from The University of Texas at Austin. Brant has been a member of the music faculty at Oklahoma State University since 1987. He is a widely published composer, and is well-known as an arranger and orchestrator, especially in sacred music publications. Brant has served on staff at First Baptist Church since 1989. He and his wife Ginger were married in 1981 and have three lovely daughters pursuing careers in other states.
